Datalive!
Datalive! provides a simple drill-back solution to DataLink users, thus enabling them to view source data originating from upstream systems in the consolidation or reporting package.
RETRIEVING DATA FROM UPSTREAM SYSTEMS
DataLink is a small ETL integrated within SAP BFC. Il offers data entry users the possibility of using a native interface to convert data from upstream accounting or ERP systems to the import format required by SAP BFC packages. DataLink enables the translation of coded values, and the roll-up and formatting of data.
Users can configure this easy-to-use application by themselves using the Windows or Web interface of their tool. Users can also manage DataLink definitions by themselves. DataLink transforms all types of source data to a data file that can be imported to packages.
Once the DataLink processing has been run, SAP BFC does not store any trace of the changes that have been made. This means it is unable to provide any information on the origin of the source data imported to a package.
OBJECTIVE OF DATALIVE!
Datalive! offers a simple drill-back solution (zooming back to the source data) to DataLink users. By drilling back, users can obtain the source data from upstream systems, such as accounting or ERP systems, for any amount imported to a package, directly in SAP BFC using any DataLink interface.
